What is UTKRAANTI?
UTKRAANTI is India's premier national-level TechPreneur Championship for students in Grades 8-12. It's 100% FREE and allows students to turn their ideas into reality using AI, Robotics, IoT, and Drones. The National Finale is held at IIT Delhi during BECon 2027 with a prize pool of ₹10 Lakh+.
Who can participate?
Students from Grades 8-12 can participate. Teams must have 4-5 students from the same school. Schools can nominate up to 10 teams. All school boards are welcome (CBSE, ICSE, State Board, etc.).
Is it completely free?
Yes! UTKRAANTI is 100% FREE. Registration, participation, submission, evaluation, and certificates are all free. There's an optional Learning Support program (₹2,499/student) but it's NOT mandatory to participate.

NO! Hardware is NOT mandatory. You can submit:

Are simple ideas acceptable?
Absolutely YES! Simple ideas that solve real problems are highly valued. Judges focus on innovation, impact, and clarity - not complexity or expensive equipment. A simple, well-explained idea can beat a complex one!

Learning Support (Optional)

Is training mandatory?
NO! Training is 100% OPTIONAL. The Learning Support program (₹2,499/student) provides structured guidance, but many winning teams succeed without it. The competition itself is completely FREE, and the paid training does NOT affect evaluation or selection.

IIT Delhi Finale

What happens at the IIT Delhi finale?
The Top 20 teams present their projects at IIT Delhi during BECon 2027 in January 2027. Activities include project demonstrations, entrepreneur-style presentations, networking with industry leaders, campus tour, awards ceremony, and meeting IIT Delhi students and faculty. It's a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

By registering for or participating in UTKRAANTI 2026, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website, registering for the competition, or submitting any project, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not participate.

2. Eligibility & Participation

  • Only students enrolled in Grades 8-12 during the 2026 academic year are eligible.
  • Teams must consist of 4-5 students from the same recognized school.
  • Each school can nominate up to 10 teams.
  • Participants must have valid school enrollment proof.
  • The organizers reserve the right to verify eligibility at any stage and disqualify ineligible participants without notice.

3. Submission Requirements

  • All submissions must be original work created by the team members.
  • Deadline: September 15, 2026, 11:59 PM IST. Late submissions will not be accepted.
  • Required materials: PowerPoint presentation (PPT) and video demonstration.
  • Submissions must relate to the competition theme: Smart Agriculture & Farmer Empowerment.
  • Incomplete or non-compliant submissions may be disqualified without notice.
  • Once submitted, projects cannot be withdrawn or modified without organizer approval.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

  • Participants retain ownership of their original ideas and projects.
  • By submitting, participants grant UTKRAANTI organizers a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, and display submitted materials for promotional, educational, and competition purposes.
  • Organizers may feature winning projects on the website, social media, presentations, and promotional materials.
  • Participants are solely responsible for ensuring they have rights to all content included in their submissions (images, music, code, etc.).
  • Any copyright infringement claims are the sole responsibility of the participants.

5. Judging & Decisions

  • All judging decisions are final and binding. No appeals will be entertained.
  • Judges' evaluation criteria include Innovation (25%), Impact (25%), Technical Implementation (25%), Presentation (15%), and Scalability (10%).
  • Organizers reserve the right to change judges, evaluation criteria, or competition format without prior notice.
  • Shortlisting, semi-final, and finale results will be communicated via email and website only.
  • Organizers are not obligated to provide feedback on non-selected projects.

6. Prizes & Awards

  • Total prize pool is ₹10 Lakh+ distributed among winners as determined by organizers.
  • Prize distribution is at the sole discretion of organizers and may vary from promotional materials.
  • Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash (except cash prizes).
  • Winners must provide valid identification and tax documentation to claim prizes.
  • Organizers may withhold prizes if participants violate any terms or provide false information.
  • Tax liabilities on prizes are the sole responsibility of winners.

7. Disqualification

Participants may be disqualified immediately for:

  • Plagiarism or submitting non-original work
  • Providing false or misleading information
  • Violating eligibility requirements
  • Inappropriate or offensive content in submissions
  • Misconduct, harassment, or unsportsmanlike behavior
  • Attempting to manipulate judging or voting processes
  • Violating any competition rules or guidelines
  • Non-compliance with organizer instructions

Disqualified participants forfeit all rights to prizes, recognition, and participation.

8. Fees & Refunds

  • UTKRAANTI competition registration, participation, and evaluation are 100% FREE.
  • Optional Learning Support Program fee (₹2,499/student) is paid directly to training providers, not to UTKRAANTI organizers.
  • Learning Support fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • Organizers are not liable for any disputes related to Learning Support Program payments or services.
  • Travel expenses to IIT Delhi for finalists are the responsibility of participants unless otherwise explicitly stated.

9. Liability & Disclaimer

  • Organizers are not liable for any loss, injury, damage, or expense incurred during participation.
  • Website content is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
  • Organizers are not responsible for technical failures, internet issues, or submission problems.
  • Participants participate at their own risk.
  • Organizers are not liable for any disputes between team members, schools, or third parties.
  • Force majeure events (natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions) may lead to competition cancellation or modification without liability.

10. Modifications & Cancellation

  • Organizers reserve the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the competition at any time without prior notice.
  • Changes to rules, timeline, prizes, or format may be made at organizers' discretion.
  • Participants will be notified of major changes via email and website updates.
  • Continued participation after changes constitutes acceptance of new terms.
  • In case of cancellation, organizers are not liable for any costs, expenses, or losses incurred by participants.

11. Privacy & Data Protection

  • Personal information collected will be used for competition administration, communication, and promotional purposes.
  • By registering, participants consent to receive emails, SMS, and WhatsApp messages from organizers.
  • Organizers may share participant information with partners, sponsors, and judges.
  • Photos and videos from events may be used for promotional purposes without additional consent.
  • Participants may request data deletion after competition conclusion by emailing wingfotech@gmail.com.

12. Code of Conduct

All participants must:

  • Behave respectfully towards organizers, judges, volunteers, and fellow participants
  • Follow all instructions from organizers and event staff
  • Maintain academic integrity and ethical standards
  • Avoid any form of harassment, discrimination, or offensive behavior
  • Respect venue rules at IIT Delhi and other competition locations

Violation may result in immediate disqualification and removal from premises.

13. Media & Publicity

  • Participants grant organizers permission to photograph, film, and record their participation.
  • Media content may be used on website, social media, promotional materials, and news coverage.
  • Participants will not receive compensation for media use.
  • Winners may be required to participate in media interviews and promotional activities.
  • Refusal to participate in reasonable publicity requests may result in prize forfeiture.

14. School & Parental Consent

  • School registration confirms school's authorization for student participation.
  • Schools are responsible for obtaining parental/guardian consent for all team members.
  • Participants under 18 must have parental/guardian permission to participate.
  • Schools are responsible for student supervision during school-coordinated activities.
  • Organizers recommend parental accompaniment for finale at IIT Delhi.

15. Disputes & Governing Law

  • All disputes arising from this competition shall be resolved through arbitration in New Delhi, India.
  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India.
  • Courts in New Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction for any legal matters.
  • Organizers' decisions on all matters are final and binding.
  • No legal action can be taken against organizers for competition-related matters.

16. Indemnification

By participating, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless UTKRAANTI organizers, partners, sponsors, IIT Delhi, BECon, eDC IIT Delhi, and all affiliated entities from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from:

  • Your participation in the competition
  • Your submissions and content
  • Violation of these terms
  • Infringement of third-party rights
  • Any breach of laws or regulations

By registering or participating, you acknowledge that:

  • You agree to be bound by all rules and decisions
  • You accept all risks associated with participation
  • You consent to use of your submissions and personal information as described
  • You waive any claims against organizers, partners, and affiliates
